Google Shopping Adds AI to Help You Find the Perfect Outfit

Google Shopping is getting a major upgrade with new AI-powered features designed to improve how users discover and experience products before making a purchase. These advanced tools focus on clothing and makeup, making it easier to find the perfect match. By combining Google’s AI models with its Shopping Graph, the platform now offers a smarter way to explore fashion and beauty products.

One of the most exciting features helps users find clothing items that may be difficult to search for using traditional methods. If someone has a specific outfit in mind but can’t find it online, they will now see a “Can’t find it? Create it” option while browsing. This allows users to describe the outfit they want, and Google’s AI will generate multiple images based on the description. Users can then select the closest match, and Google Shopping will find real products that look similar.

Another new feature lets users try out beauty products virtually using AI and augmented reality (AR). Searching for a specific makeup style or celebrity look will now display virtual try-on filters. Users can test how different makeup products—such as lip gloss, mascara, blush, and eyelashes—look on their face before deciding to buy. If they like the style, they can instantly find the listed products to complete their purchase.

Google is also expanding its virtual try-on tool for clothing. Previously, users could only preview tops and dresses on a diverse range of real models of different body types, from XXS to XXL. Now, the feature has been updated to include pants and skirts, providing a more complete shopping experience. The platform uses machine learning models to ensure better accuracy and styling when displaying the garments.

These AI-powered upgrades are currently available in the US, with no confirmed date for a global rollout. With these advancements, Google is making online shopping more interactive and personalized, helping users find clothing and beauty products with ease.
