Adobe Firefly Goes Mobile: AI Image & Video Tools Now in Your Pocket

Adobe has officially launched its Firefly AI platform as a mobile app for both Android and iOS devices. The new app brings powerful AI-powered image and video creation tools to smartphones, allowing users to generate and edit content on the go.

The Firefly mobile app includes all of Adobe’s native AI models alongside third-party options from Google and OpenAI. Users can choose between different AI models for image generation, including Adobe’s Firefly Image 3 and 4 series, Google’s Imagen models, and OpenAI’s GPT Image. For video creation, options include Adobe’s Firefly Video and Google’s Veo 2.

One of the standout features is the ability to transform images into videos using AI. The app also includes popular editing tools like Generative Fill for removing or adding objects and Generative Expand for extending images beyond their original borders. All projects automatically sync with the user’s Adobe Creative Cloud account, making it easy to switch between mobile and desktop.

Free users get 10 generative credits per month, while paid Creative Cloud subscribers receive credits based on their plan. These credits act as tokens for using AI features, with more complex tasks like generating images from scratch consuming more credits than simple edits.

In addition to the mobile launch, Adobe has enhanced its Firefly Boards platform with new video capabilities. The collaborative moodboarding tool now supports video remixing and generation using multiple AI models, including Firefly Video, Google’s Veo 3, Luma AI’s Ray2, and Pika 2.2.

This mobile expansion makes Adobe’s AI tools more accessible than ever, empowering creators to work whenever inspiration strikes.
