Google is making searching easier for iPhone users with a new feature powered by Google Lens. The tech giant has introduced the “Search Screen with Google Lens” tool in Google Chrome and the Google app for iOS, allowing users to perform instant visual searches without taking screenshots.
Google Lens is already processing over 20 billion visual searches monthly, and now, iPhone users can access its capabilities directly within Chrome. With this update, users can highlight or tap any object on a webpage to get instant search results, making online browsing smoother and more interactive.
To access the feature, users simply need to tap the three-dot menu in the bottom right corner of the Chrome browser. From there, selecting “Search Screen with Google Lens” enables them to highlight any part of the screen and instantly receive relevant search results. The same functionality is also available in the Google app for iOS under the “Search this Screen” option.
Additionally, AI Overviews will automatically provide relevant information without requiring users to click on multiple links. This enhancement is set to improve user experience by making search faster, smarter, and more seamless.
