OpenAI’s Latest GPT-4.5 AI Model Rolls Out – What You Need to Know

OpenAI has started rolling out its newest AI model, GPT-4.5, to more users on the ChatGPT Plus plan. This follows its initial release for Pro users who subscribed to OpenAI’s $200-a-month plan. The rollout is expected to take a few days, with potential adjustments to usage limits based on demand.

GPT-4.5 is OpenAI’s most advanced AI model yet, developed using more data and computing power than previous versions. While it brings improvements in knowledge and emotional intelligence, it still faces competition from newer AI models by companies like DeepSeek and Anthropic.

One of the key challenges with GPT-4.5 is its high operational cost. OpenAI is evaluating whether to continue offering it through its API due to its expensive processing requirements. The company charges $75 per million input tokens and $150 per million generated tokens, making it significantly more costly than GPT-4o.

Despite these costs, GPT-4.5 offers better accuracy, reduced errors, and enhanced reasoning capabilities. OpenAI claims it has fewer hallucinations, making it more reliable for users. Additionally, internal tests suggest the model excels at persuasive communication, demonstrating advanced rhetorical skills.

With the ongoing expansion of GPT-4.5, AI enthusiasts and businesses can expect a more refined chatbot experience. As OpenAI fine-tunes its model and pricing strategy, the AI landscape continues to evolve, offering new possibilities for users worldwide.
