WhatsApp for iOS May Soon Let You Add Instagram Links to Your Profile

WhatsApp is working on a new feature for its iOS app. This feature could let users add links to their social media profiles. A feature tracker found this update in the latest beta version of WhatsApp for iOS. Some beta testers might already have access to it. At first, the feature will likely support Instagram profile links. Later, it could include other platforms too.

The feature was spotted by WhatsApp feature tracker WABetaInfo. It was found in the WhatsApp Beta for iOS app version 25.7.10.70. Screenshots show that users can add their Instagram profile link. This link will appear below their profile picture and name on WhatsApp. Users can also choose who sees the link. Options include “Everyone,” “My contacts,” “My contacts except,” and “Nobody.”

This feature is optional. Users can decide if they want to link their Instagram profiles. Right now, Instagram is the only supported platform. But WhatsApp might add other Meta-owned platforms like Facebook and Threads later.

The feature is still in development. Only beta testers using Apple’s TestFlight program can access it now. It should roll out to more iOS beta users soon. A similar feature is already available for WhatsApp Business users. But they need to log into their Instagram accounts to authenticate it.

This update could make it easier for users to connect their social media profiles on WhatsApp. It shows WhatsApp’s efforts to integrate more closely with other Meta-owned platforms.
