OpenAI has launched a new way to make ChatGPT even smarter — app integrations. These integrations let you connect popular apps like Spotify, Canva, Booking.com, Figma, Coursera, Expedia, and Zillow directly to ChatGPT. Once connected, you can ask ChatGPT to perform tasks inside these apps without leaving the chat.
For example, if you connect your Spotify account, ChatGPT can instantly create playlists that appear right in your app. It’s a faster, easier, and more personalized way to get things done.
Getting Started with App Integrations
To start using integrations, log in to ChatGPT and type the name of the app you want to connect — for example, “Spotify” or “Canva.” ChatGPT will guide you through signing in and linking your account.
If you want to connect several apps at once:
- Go to the Settings menu
- Click on Apps and Connectors
- Choose the apps you want
- Sign in to link your accounts
Remember — linking an app means sharing some of your data with ChatGPT. Always review the permissions before connecting. For example, linking Spotify lets ChatGPT access your playlists, listening history, and recommendations. You can disconnect any app anytime from the same Settings menu.
Available App Integrations
1. Booking.com
With the Booking.com integration, travelers can easily find hotels that fit their budget, dates, and preferences. Just ask ChatGPT to “find hotels in Colombo for two people with breakfast included,” and it will show options instantly. When you find a suitable stay, open the Booking.com listing to confirm your reservation.
2. Canva
The Canva integration is perfect for designers or anyone who needs quick visuals. You can ask ChatGPT to design things like “a 16:9 presentation slide for a Q4 report” or “a poster for a local café.” You can also mention preferred fonts, colors, or image sizes.
Although AI-generated designs might need some final touches, they provide a great starting point. You can open Canva directly and edit your design to perfection.
3. Coursera
Want to learn something new? The Coursera integration helps you find courses quickly. You can ask ChatGPT to “find an intermediate-level course on Python” or “compare data science courses by rating and cost.” ChatGPT summarizes the course details so you can choose the best one faster.
4. Expedia
The Expedia integration makes travel planning easier. ChatGPT can show you hotel and flight options that match your travel dates, destination, and budget. You can even filter by saying “show only 4-star hotels.” Once you’re ready, open Expedia to complete your booking.
5. Figma
For creative teams, the Figma integration allows you to generate diagrams, flowcharts, and product roadmaps directly in ChatGPT. You can even upload files and ask for structured project timelines with milestones and goals — perfect for keeping teams organized.
6. Spotify
The Spotify integration helps music lovers create personalized playlists in seconds. Just ask ChatGPT to “make a relaxing evening playlist” or “create one with songs by Coldplay.” ChatGPT can also recommend artists, podcasts, or audiobooks. You can add or remove items from your library directly through ChatGPT.
7. Zillow
Searching for a new home? With Zillow, ChatGPT can help you find houses that fit your budget, location, and other preferences. You can filter by price, number of rooms, or neighborhood. It’s a faster way to browse real estate listings that meet your needs.
What’s Coming Next
OpenAI plans to bring even more app integrations soon, including DoorDash, OpenTable, Target, Uber, and Walmart. These new connections will make ChatGPT even more powerful for everyday use.
Currently, the rollout of app integrations is available only in the U.S. and Canada, but OpenAI plans to expand access to more regions soon.
ChatGPT’s app integrations make everyday tasks simpler and smarter. Whether you want to create a playlist, design a presentation, book a trip, or learn a new skill — you can now do it all in one place. With more apps joining soon, ChatGPT is becoming your all-in-one digital assistant for work, travel, learning, and creativity.
