A terrifying incident unfolded in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh, where two men on a motorcycle kidnapped a six-year-old boy after throwing chilli powder into his mother’s eyes. The incident took place in the Morar area on Thursday morning while the mother and child were waiting for his school bus.
How It Happened
According to the police, the boy’s father, Rahul Gupta, is a well-known sugar merchant. His wife took their son to the usual pick-up point for his school bus when two men on a bike suddenly appeared. They threw chilli powder into her eyes, grabbed the child, and sped away.
A nearby CCTV camera captured the entire kidnapping, providing crucial evidence for the police. Law enforcement officials arrived at the scene quickly and announced a cash reward of ₹30,000 for any information leading to the suspects’ arrest and the child’s rescue.
Rahul Gupta expressed deep distress, stating that no one had contacted them regarding the kidnapping, and they had no known enemies. Meanwhile, the incident sparked outrage in the local business community. Traders and shopkeepers in Murar shut down their businesses in protest, demanding swift action from the authorities.
The police are actively investigating the case, analyzing CCTV footage, and working on leads to ensure the safe return of the child. Anyone with information is urged to come forward.
