X is making its Communities feature more interactive and user-friendly by introducing new filters and sorting options. These updates allow users to customize their experience and make discussions more engaging.
With the latest update, users can now sort posts by Trending, New, or Popular within a Community. There’s also a new filter that lets you see only your own posts and replies, making it easier to track your contributions.
A key improvement is the ability to sort popular posts by day, week, month, year, or all-time, similar to Reddit. Previously, posts could only be sorted by Trending, Most Recent, or Most Liked, but the new options give users more control over how they explore content.
The latest version of Communities is currently available for iOS users, with plans to expand it to web and Android soon. This update follows X’s recent efforts to boost engagement in Communities by making posts more visible across the platform. Users’ Community posts and replies can now be seen by their followers and others, encouraging more discussions.
Beyond improving user experience, these updates could also serve a larger purpose. Communities on X may contribute to AI development, as structured topic-based discussions could provide valuable data for training AI models. This could benefit X’s own AI initiatives and other companies looking for high-quality discussion data.
With these changes, X is positioning Communities as a more dynamic space for focused conversations, enhancing both user experience and the platform’s overall appeal.
