iPhone & iPad Users Must Update Now To Avoid Security Threats

Apple has issued an urgent warning to all iPhone and iPad users, advising them to install the latest iOS update immediately. This update comes just weeks after the previous one, signaling a critical security risk that needs to be fixed.

The issue, known as CVE-2025-24201, is linked to WebKit—the core browser engine behind Safari and other web browsers on Apple devices. Hackers have been using this flaw to create malicious websites that trick users into opening harmful web pages. Once visited, these pages allow attackers to access sensitive parts of the device beyond just the browser.

Apple has rolled out a patch to close this security gap, but some users have reported that the update activates Apple Intelligence on their devices, even if it was previously disabled. Despite this minor issue, the update remains essential for protecting user data.

Devices That Need The Update:

  • iPhone XS and later
  • iPad Pro 13-inch
  • iPad Pro 12.9-inch (3rd generation and later)
  • iPad Pro 11-inch (1st generation and later)
  • iPad Air (3rd generation and later)
  • iPad (7th generation and later)
  • iPad Mini (5th generation and later)

Not The First Security Alert

This is not the first time Apple has had to release urgent security updates. In February, the company warned users about highly sophisticated cyberattacks that could disable the USB Restricted Mode on locked devices. Apple acknowledged that these attacks specifically targeted certain individuals, raising concerns about growing threats in the digital world.

Apple has urged all users to install the latest update as soon as possible to prevent potential risks. With increasing cyber threats, keeping devices updated is crucial to maintaining security and privacy.
