Toyota has introduced the 2026 Land Cruiser 300 in Japan with exciting technology updates. While the SUV remains the same in terms of design and engine, Toyota has focused on enhancing safety, security, and convenience.
However, customers in Japan will have to wait, as Toyota is currently working on clearing previous order backlogs before accepting new bookings.
New Technology Upgrades
The higher trims of the 2026 Land Cruiser 300 now come with a 12.3-inch TFT digital instrument cluster, while the entry-level variants get a 7-inch unit. Toyota has also made an 8-inch infotainment touchscreen standard, with an optional 12.3-inch display for those who prefer a larger screen.
Advanced Security Features
As the Land Cruiser tops Japan’s list of most stolen vehicles, Toyota has introduced the My Car Start Lock feature, allowing owners to remotely lock the engine via a smartphone app.
Another major addition is the fingerprint authentication start button, located below the steering wheel, adding an extra layer of security. Other anti-theft technologies include:
- Alarm with tilt sensors
- Immobilizer system
- Smart key detection technology
- Data recorder and cybersecurity updates
Performance and Pricing
The 2026 Land Cruiser 300 retains the same 3.5L twin-turbo V6 petrol engine and 3.3L V6 diesel engine. Prices for the updated model start at 5,252,500 Yen (approx. Rs 29.5 lakh) and go up to 8,136,800 Yen (approx. Rs 45.7 lakh).
Toyota’s latest updates make the Land Cruiser more advanced and secure, keeping it one of the most trusted off-road SUVs on the market.
