Kia is bringing its smart AI voice assistant to the European market, after successful launches in Korea and the United States. Starting from March 2025, this advanced voice system will be included in the EV3 models made from that date onward. Older models will also get this new feature through over-the-air (OTA) updates, making it accessible to a wide range of users.
The AI voice assistant is built to make driving more connected and comfortable. It listens to natural voice commands and understands the meaning behind what users say. This helps the system give accurate and useful answers instead of simple, basic replies. For example, when users ask a detailed question or add context, the system can provide responses that are more personalized and helpful.
Kia’s AI Assistant is easy to use. Drivers can activate it by saying “Hey Kia” or by pressing the voice button on the steering wheel. The assistant can help with various tasks, like answering questions, giving directions, or even suggesting songs that match a calm city vibe. This creates a better in-car experience by making every ride smoother and more enjoyable.
What makes this assistant even better is its ability to get smarter over time. Kia will send regular OTA updates that will keep improving the system’s intelligence and features. These updates are delivered through the car’s connected cockpit system, known as ccNC. This ensures that users always have access to the newest technology without needing to visit a service center.
Kia plans to expand this feature to more car models that include the ccNC system. This shows the brand’s focus on smart mobility and customer-friendly innovations that improve daily driving.
