Why Brooke Hogan Skipped Her Dad Hulk Hogan’s Funeral

Brooke Hogan Oleksy recently opened up about her emotional decision to skip her father Hulk Hogan’s funeral. In a heartfelt message on social media, she explained the personal and private way she chose to remember the wrestling icon, following his death at the age of 71.

A Personal Goodbye

Brooke shared that her father never wanted a funeral. He disliked the sadness and formality that often comes with it. Respecting his wishes, she chose a quiet moment at the beach with her husband, Steven Oleksy, and their newborn twins, Oliver and Molly.

They visited the ocean, a place Hulk Hogan loved. “We put our babies in the salty water you loved,” she wrote, describing a peaceful day meant to honor his memory. She added that the only thing missing was seeing her dad sitting in his usual beach chair, watching the waves.

Keeping Her Distance

Brooke has stayed away from the spotlight in recent years. She married Steven Oleksy, a former hockey player, in 2022 and gave birth to twins in January 2025.

Her relationship with her parents, Hulk and Linda Hogan, has reportedly been distant. In March 2025, Linda posted a video saying Brooke no longer spoke to either parent. Brooke later responded, saying her decisions were based on her personal experiences with them, not because of conflicts between her mother and father.

Her Last Moments with Hulk Hogan

Despite rumors and past family issues, Brooke said her connection with her father never faded. She shared that their bond remained strong, even in his final moments.

Brooke’s choice to grieve privately may not follow tradition, but it reflected love, peace, and respect for her father’s true wishes.
