Shah Rukh Khan Teases Fans with Updates on “King”

After a phenomenal run in 2023, Shah Rukh Khan’s fans were left longing for more as 2024 passed without any releases from the superstar. The announcement of King reignited excitement among his admirers, marking SRK’s highly anticipated return to the big screen. At a recent event, the “Badshah of Bollywood” shared intriguing details about the film, leaving fans buzzing with anticipation.

Shah Rukh revealed that he is currently in the middle of shooting the film and will continue working on it for the next couple of months. Speaking about King, he confirmed that Siddharth Anand, the director behind the blockbuster Pathaan, is at the helm of the project. “Siddharth is very strict. He made Pathaan as well, and he’s asked me not to reveal what we’re doing. But I can assure you, it will be entertaining, and you’re going to love it,” SRK promised.

Addressing the film’s title, Shah Rukh added with a touch of humor, “You’ve seen Shah Rukh Khan in and as Pathaan, in and as Dunki, and in and as Jawan. Now, it’s Shah Rukh Khan as Shah Rukh Khan in King. It’s a little bit of show-off, but hey, we’re in Dubai, and people here understand that ‘A King is a King.’”

The superstar further expressed his commitment to delivering an exceptional movie, adding, “I’m working really hard, and so is the entire team led by Siddharth Anand. Inshallah, we’ll create a film that entertains everyone and makes people happy.”

Interestingly, King was originally set to be directed by its writer, Sujoy Ghosh. However, Shah Rukh confirmed recent speculations about Siddharth Anand taking over the director’s chair. This revelation has only heightened expectations for the film, which is rumored to also star Suhana Khan, SRK’s daughter, alongside Abhishek Bachchan.

While the official release date for King is yet to be announced, Shah Rukh’s updates have already built excitement for what promises to be another blockbuster in the making.
