LARQ Water Pitcher

LARQ Water Pitcher is a self-cleaning water bottle that uses an activated carbon filter and UV light to clean drinking water and taste the drinking water. In addition to providing cleaner, better-tasting water, this product also has the capability to stop the growth of bio-contaminants in the water. When considering the technical specifications of this innovative device, The LARQ pitcher has two filtering components. One is a PurVis wand and the other one is an activated carbon filter. Water first flows through the filter. This step helps to remove contaminants including in water via the process called absorption. The chemicals in the water are attracted to the carbon and remain in the filter instead of your water. Other water pitchers like Brita follow a similar conventional procedure, but LARQ adds a second step called purification.

Each LARQ Pitcher comes with a sensor that improves the user experience by giving users knowledge and information about the hydration patterns of their home. In addition to using it to stay hydrated, some researchers have noted that you can sync it with the LARQ App on your mobile phone to discover details on the water quality in your area.

When considering the PurVis wand filtering component, it has the capability to emit a pulsing blue UV light that cleans the water when it enters the basin. Every time you fill the pitcher, the UV light turns on, and it also goes through a six-hour maintenance cycle. According to the researchers, the UV light will stop the biological activity and as the ability to stop the biological growth of viruses, bacteria, and protozoa successfully.

The pitcher will have two different filter options namely Essential and Advanced, in addition to PureVis technology, which eliminates bio-contaminants like viruses and mold at the molecular level. Both filters are made from plant-based materials and contain carbon. The Essential filter removes, chlorine, VOCs, and other contaminants to deliver healthy and delicious-tasting water. The Advanced filter does the same as the Essential filter, but also removes lead and reduces hard water levels. The researcher, Wang has revealed that no other water pitcher on the market does what LARQ can do and that is because of the brand’s innovation and customer-centric approach to solving problems.

When it comes to the app of the LARQ Pitcher, actually it makes easy the operations of this smart innovation. When using this app, you must be close to the LARQ pitcher in order to view the metrics and make changes to the water filtration jug’s numerous settings because the app uses Bluetooth to link your smartphone to the pitcher. These settings include the filter’s name, the UV-C purifier’s power settings, whether or not you want the UV-C water purifier to turn on automatically when the pitcher fills up, and whether or not you want the pitcher to start its self-cleaning cycle every six hours, etc. That means you cannot log into your pitcher unless you are within Bluetooth range and because it doesn’t use an internet connection. The app offers a variety of insights, such as water usage over several time frames (a week, a month, and six months), weekly insights, i.e., daily average water consumption over the last seven days, and how you’re performing in comparison to the previous seven days, etc. In addition to that, this app displays the date that your filter was installed and the volume of water that it has filtered. Moreover, this app allows you to view the pitcher’s current battery level. The typical battery life is roughly one month.

When considering the durability of this smart device, the LARQ Pitcher’s filters can filter 60 gallons of water before needing to be changed, which is up to 50% more than other top brands in the drinking water filter pitcher market. Simply said, the design of this product gives the water filtration pitcher a far better sense of durability and quality than its rivals.

Moving to the filter speed, the LARQ Water Pitcher is available in only on one size (a volume of 8-cups). Depending on the water flow rate from your tap, the LARQ water pitcher fills up in about 10 seconds and filters the water for about 3 minutes and 40 seconds. However, compared to other, more transportable camping filters that use pumps, gravity filters used in water filter pitchers like this one often filter water more slowly.
