Figma has launched a big update that could change how designers work. At its recent Config event, the company introduced four powerful new tools. These tools help users do everything from building websites to creating graphics and writing code – all within Figma. This means designers no longer need to switch between apps like Adobe, WordPress, or Canva.
The first new tool is Figma Sites, a smart website builder. It works with Figma Design and lets users turn their designs into real, working websites. It includes ready-made layouts, blocks, and templates. You can also use AI to add animations just by typing a simple request like, “make the text float in like a feather”. Figma Sites is currently in beta and will soon include a content management system to help manage website content.

Next is Figma Make, an AI coding assistant. It uses Claude 3.7, a smart AI model, to turn your ideas into working prototypes. You just type what you want, and it writes the code. For example, ask it to build a music player, and it creates one where the disc spins when a song plays. You can adjust design details using simple text commands. Figma Make is also in beta and will soon support third-party systems and more features.
Then there’s Figma Buzz, a design tool focused on marketing. It helps teams create brand-approved designs for social media, emails, ads and more. You can make templates, styles and assets that your whole team can use. Buzz also includes AI that can create or edit images using text. It can even pull data from spreadsheets to create thousands of designs at once. This makes it a strong alternative to Canva.
The last tool is Figma Draw, a simple drawing app for creating logos and visuals. It has tools like brushers, textures, and vector editing. This makes it easy to design detailed images without leaving Figma. Figma Draw is already available for full-access users and works across Figma Design, Sites, Slides and Buzz.
With these new tools, Figma is becoming a complete design platform. It now completes directly with Adobe, especially after Adobe’s failed $20 billion deal to buy Figma. These updates give designers everything they – need from idea to live product – in one place.
