Xbox Copilot AI Chatbot Now Testing on Mobile

Microsoft has introduced a new AI chatbot for Xbox players called Copilot for Gaming. This feature is now in public testing and available through the beta version of the Xbox mobile app for iOS and Android. It is designed to help gamers with tips, game recommendations, and questions about gameplay. Copilot aims to be a smart assistant that enhances the gaming experience without interrupting the game itself.

The chatbot is currently available in English and limited to players who are 18 years or older. Testing is active in countries such as the US, India, Japan, Australia. Canada, Brazil, Malaysia, New Zealand, Singapore and South Africa. Microsoft says more regions like the UK and EU nations will be added later.

Copilot for Gaming acts as a second-screen companion, allowing users to ask questions without disturbing their gameplay. It can access a user’s Xbox data such as play history, account details, and achievements to give accurate answers. The chatbot also searches the web for additional help when needed.

Gamers can ask for in-game help, like how to defeat a tough boss or craft a tool in Minecraft. It can also give suggestions for new games based on your past playing habits. Users can even ask about their Xbox achievements, game progress, or subscription details.

Microsoft encourages beta testers to share feedback to improve the feature before a wider release. The company aims to make Copilot a useful tool for all types of gamers, making gaming more fun and easier to explore.
