Chennai Teacher Suspended for Hitting Student Over Hindi Poem

A Chennai school teacher was suspended after allegedly hitting a Class 3 student for failing to recite a Hindi poem. The school management took immediate action after an internal inquiry on February 21 confirmed the incident.

The issue came to light when the student’s parents reported it to the school administration. The school, known for its strict policies against any form of violence, took disciplinary action as its guidelines prohibit corporal punishment, verbal abuse, or emotional harm.

Officials stated that the matter was handled between the teacher and the student’s family. However, the school’s zero-tolerance approach to misconduct led to the teacher’s suspension.

The incident highlights the ongoing concern over student safety and the importance of maintaining a positive learning environment. Schools must ensure teachers follow ethical practices while educating young minds.
