Netanyahu’s Big Warning Amid Attacks on Lebanon: Iran’s Regime Will Collapse in the End

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has issued a stark warning. He says Iran’s leadership has been seriously weakened and predicts the regime will eventually collapse. His remarks come amid ongoing regional tensions involving Israel, Iran, and Hezbollah.

Netanyahu’s Message

Speaking at a farewell ceremony for the outgoing Mossad chief, Netanyahu warned Israel’s adversaries. “Let every enemy plotting against Israel know that their plans will fail. Iran has already paid a very heavy price. The foundations of this terror regime have cracked. It will never return to what it once was, and it is destined to fall,” he said.

Netanyahu argued that the Iranian government’s foundations have been undermined. He suggested it cannot return to its previous position of strength. His statement followed a phone conversation with US President Donald Trump, during which the two leaders discussed developments in Iran and Lebanon.

Confusion Over a Ceasefire

Trump had earlier claimed that Israel and Hezbollah agreed to halt hostilities after days of escalating violence. On his Truth Social platform, Trump said Israel agreed not to launch a planned operation in Beirut, while Hezbollah would stop firing on Israeli targets. He expressed hope the arrangement would last “for eternity.”

But Netanyahu appeared to distance himself from talk of a formal ceasefire. His office released a statement saying Israel would continue to target Hezbollah positions in Beirut if attacks on Israeli towns and civilians persist. The differing messages highlight apparent strains between Washington and Tel Aviv, even as efforts to revive diplomatic engagement with Iran continue.

Iran Suspends Talks

Iranian media reported that Tehran has suspended talks with mediators. The reason given was Israel’s expanding military operations against Hezbollah in Lebanon. Iran’s move signals that the path to diplomacy remains blocked.

Netanyahu is doubling down on military action while predicting the eventual fall of Iran’s regime. Trump is talking about a halt in fighting. Iran is walking away from negotiations. The mixed messages suggest that despite weeks of war, the end is not yet in sight.
