Nvidia has acknowledged that its highly anticipated RTX 5090 and 5080 graphics cards may face significant stock shortages upon their launch on January 30th.
“We expect significant demand for the GeForce RTX 5090 and 5080 and believe stock-outs may happen,” stated Tim Adams, Nvidia’s head of GeForce community.
This warning comes amidst reports from retailers and system builders indicating limited initial availability. Some sources suggest that certain RTX 5090 models may not be available until February, with potential delays extending for weeks or even months.
Adding to the frenzy, reports of eager gamers camping outside Microcenter stores have emerged, highlighting the intense demand for these cutting-edge GPUs.
Nvidia is launching both the RTX 5090 and 5080 simultaneously at 9 AM ET on January 30th. These cards will be available for purchase online through retailers like Best Buy and in-store at locations like Microcenter
